This research area is focused on direct geodetic methods (electronic tachymeters, combined GNSS stations) as well as indirect methods, such as Laser Scanning Systems (LSS), land photogrammetry, air photogrammetry and remote Earth exploration. The process of data processing becomes more demanding as the data volumes increase. Computer systems are used for this purpose, with the challenging task to extract relevant and usable information from the primary data. Quality of such information determines its future applicability and reliability.
