Scientific awards & achievements:

  • Publications in high profile journals, e.g. Computer Speech \& Language, Information Processing \& Management, Expert Systems with Application and on A-class NLP conferences, e.g. ACL, EACL, EMNLP, COLING

  • 2013 and 2015: The best performing system for summarization in 6 languages on ACL MultiLing competition

  • 2014: 3rd place in the international competition SemEval (competition in the field of semantic analysis of text) against leading foreign universities

  • 2015: Tomáš Brychcín received Joseph Fourier prize from French Embassy and companies BULL and Atos IT Solutions for his research on semantic analysis in NLP

  • 2016: 2x first place, 1x second and 2x third place in the international competition SemEval

Commercial achievements:

  • Successful 3-years contractual research project for Owen software LTD in (total project budget 2M CZK). The developed system automatically decides about the course transferability across the universities.

  • We successfully cooperate with Czech News Agency (CNA). CNA currently use our latest technologies.
