Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a progressive research field related to informatics, mathematics, artificial intelligence and linguistics. It deals with human-computer interaction in natural language. Our group focuses on automatic text processing which represents the main business for many Internet companies such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.
The core of our research consists in text understanding (semantic analysis), which is a crucial and lately a very popular domain. Any advance in this field leads to the performance improvement of the other NLP disciplines. Our group is particularly focused on named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, document classification, event detection, machine translation, summarization and automatic dialogue act recognition.
